As admin of your own Palworld server you can kick and ban players, teleport, send messages and shut the server down cleanly. Here is how to become admin, plus every command from Pocketpair's official documentation.
How to become admin
- Set an admin password. In the HostValues game panel you do this under Startup, in the Admin Password field. If you manage the files yourself, set
AdminPasswordin PalWorldSettings.ini. - Restart the server so the new password is active.
- In game, open the chat with Enter and type
/AdminPassword yourpassword. From then on the admin commands work for you.
You need to do this again every time you log in. Only share the admin password with people you trust: anyone who knows it can ban players or shut the server down.

Commands that need a SteamID are easiest after typing /ShowPlayers, which gives you the ID of every player online.
Tips for running the server
- Type
/Savebefore anything big, such as an update or a restart. - Prefer
/Shutdown 60 Restart_in_one_minuteover/DoExit: players get a warning and the world shuts down cleanly. - Use
/Broadcastto announce maintenance or events to everyone at once.
Frequently asked questions
Why does /AdminPassword not work?
Usually no admin password is set in the server settings yet, or the server was not restarted after setting it. Also check upper and lower case: the password has to match exactly.
How do I find a player's SteamID?
Type /ShowPlayers as admin. It shows the name, player UID and SteamID of every player online.
What is the difference between /Shutdown and /DoExit?
/Shutdown stops the server after a countdown you choose, with a message for the players. /DoExit stops it immediately. Only use /DoExit when the server no longer responds normally.
