Survival Ascended is the Unreal Engine 5 version. The server process alone uses around 10GB, which is why our plans deliberately start at 16GB per map. With mods or more than ten players you are better off with 24GB or more.

How to host a dedicated ARK server at HostValues
No port forwarding and no PC that has to stay on: your ARK server runs in a data centre and you manage it in your browser, in the game panel. It takes four steps.
Choose a plan
Pick the plan that fits your group. The RAM advice on this page shows how much memory you need for how many players. At checkout you can add extra RAM or storage.
Choose a location
At checkout you choose Europe (Netherlands / France), the United States (San Jose), Canada (Montreal) or Singapore. Choose the location closest to most of your players. In Europe and the US your server runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X or 9950X; in Canada and Singapore we use different hardware.
Pay
Pay per month, or per year with 15% off. Prices include VAT and you can cancel monthly. After payment your server is set up automatically.
Start your server in the game panel
Under Startup you choose the map, server name, passwords and maximum number of players, then start the server. Mods are added by ID: CurseForge mods for Survival Ascended, Steam Workshop mods for Survival Evolved. Players find your server by name in the list of unofficial servers.

That differs per version. Survival Ascended runs on Unreal Engine 5 and needs at least 16GB per map; the server process alone uses around 10GB. With mods or more than ten players we recommend 24 to 32GB, and for a cluster with multiple maps 48GB or more. The older Survival Evolved is much lighter and runs fine from 6 to 8GB.
Can I use mods?
Yes, mods through CurseForge are supported. You simply add them to your server and players download them automatically when connecting.
Is there crossplay between PC and console?
Yes, crossplay between PC and console is possible on dedicated servers. That way you play together with friends, no matter which platform they are on.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, you can upgrade to a larger plan at any time through the client area. Your world and settings are kept intact.
How much does an ARK server cost?
