RuneScape: Dragonwilds is Jagex's co-operative survival RPG on Ashenfall, RuneScape's forgotten continent: gather, build, skill and craft together and get ready to face the dragons. Since version 1.0 on 15 September 2026 the game is out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. On a dedicated server your world runs independently of your own game, so your group can keep playing while you are offline.
Fast loading of your world, even with large bases and a lot of building.
Start and stop your server, follow the console and manage world files and backups through the game panel or via SFTP.
DDoS protection: Cloudflare Magic Transit in the US and on our premium nodes in the Netherlands, OVH Anti-DDoS at our OVH locations. Your game server stays online 24/7.
No port forwarding and no PC that has to stay on: your Dragonwilds server runs in a data centre and you manage it in your browser, in the game panel. It takes four steps.
Pick the plan that fits your group. The RAM advice on this page shows how much memory you need for how many players.
At checkout you choose Europe (Netherlands / France), the United States (San Jose), Canada (Montreal) or Singapore. Choose the location closest to most of your players. In Europe and the US your server runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X or 9950X; in Canada and Singapore we use different hardware.
Pay per month, or per year with 15% off. Prices include VAT and you can cancel monthly. After payment your server is set up automatically.
With the Owner ID from your order you are the owner of the server. Start the server and follow in the console what it does. Want to continue an existing world? Upload its save first through the file manager or SFTP. Your friends then open the Worlds screen in Dragonwilds, go to the Public tab and search for the exact name of your world.
| Players | Plan | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | Bronze, 4 GB | €5.60 |
| 3 to 4 | Mithril, 6 GB | €8.40 |
| 5 to 6 (maximum) | Adamant, 8 GB | €11.20 |
According to Jagex, a Dragonwilds dedicated server holds up to 6 players and needs 2 GB of RAM plus 1 GB per player. Our plans follow that formula: 4 GB for 2 players, 6 GB for 4 and 8 GB for 6.
A dedicated server runs your RuneScape: Dragonwilds world on its own, independently of the game of the player who would otherwise host it. Your world stays available, so your friends can log in and keep playing while you are offline. Jagex added dedicated servers with update 0.11 on 31 March 2026.
Up to 6. Jagex raised the limit from 4 to 6 players for dedicated servers; a world hosted from inside the game holds up to 4. Choose your plan by group size: Bronze for up to 2 players, Mithril for up to 4 and Adamant for the maximum of 6.
The Owner ID is your RuneScape: Dragonwilds Player ID. You find it in the game at the bottom of the Settings menu, with a button to copy it. According to Jagex, a dedicated server does not start without it, so you enter it when you order, in the field RuneScape Player ID (Owner ID). As the owner you can ban and unban any player, online or offline.
In Dragonwilds they open the Worlds screen, go to the Public tab and search for the exact name of your world; the search is case sensitive. After a few seconds the server shows up and they can join, with the password if your world has one. According to Jagex, Steam invites to a dedicated server do not connect as intended, so share the world name instead.
Version 1.0 (15 September 2026) brought crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and according to Jagex's patch notes dedicated servers also have a crossplay option. Jagex's dedicated server guide does not yet explain how to switch it on, so we do not promise console access on our Dragonwilds servers yet. If console players are in your group, ask our support before you order.
Yes, Jagex describes how. Stop the server, back up and empty the SaveGames folder under RSDragonwilds/Saved, then upload your .sav file through the file manager or SFTP. On Windows you find it in AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\SaveGames. Do not rename the file. At its next start the server loads the newest save in that folder. This is also how a Custom or Creative world gets onto your server: create it in the game, enter it once, exit and upload the save.
Yes, automatic backups are enabled by default and you can restore one yourself through the game panel. Two backup slots are included; if you want to go further back, you can extend that to 5, 10 or 25 slots when you order.
Choose the location closest to most of your players: Europe (Netherlands or France), the United States (San Jose), Canada (Montreal) or Singapore. In Europe and the US your server runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X or 9950X; in Canada and Singapore we use different hardware.
Jagex releases patches and hotfixes regularly. A dedicated server only shows up for players on the same game version, so after a patch the server has to run the new version too. According to Jagex, the server version is at the top of its log (RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/RSDragonwilds.log) and the game version in the top left corner of the screen. Make a backup before an update; if your world does not show up after a patch, our support helps you.
No. At home, Jagex requires UDP port 7777 to be forwarded through your firewall, every router and your internet provider, and some providers do not allow that at all. At HostValues your server runs in a data centre with its own IP address and port, so there is nothing to set up at home and no PC has to stay on.
