Game Server RAM Calculator

Find out exactly how much RAM your server needs

How the calculator works

Every game has a base memory footprint. On top of that, each player and each mod or plugin adds a bit more. This calculator uses real-world benchmarks from thousands of servers running on our infrastructure to estimate your needs.

The result is a recommendation, not a hard limit. If you are unsure, start with the recommended plan. You can always upgrade later without downtime.

Is the recommended RAM a hard requirement?

No. It is a recommendation for a smooth experience. You can run with less, but may see performance issues during peak load or when the world grows large.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. All HostValues plans can be upgraded instantly without data loss or downtime. Start small and scale when you need it.

Does this calculator account for mods?

For games that support mods or plugins, you can enter the count. Each mod adds a small amount of RAM overhead. Complex mods like modpacks are handled separately with higher base values.
