Satisfactory has left early access and is officially version 1.0. For server owners this means changes in configuration, saves and performance.
What changed?
- Full storyline: the unlock progression is complete with an end goal
- New buildings and recipes: additional production chains
- Performance improvements: engine optimised for large factories
- Dedicated server updates: more stable with better error handling
Migrating a save
Existing saves from Update 8 work in 1.0. The server converts the save automatically on first start. Always make a backup first.
Note: after conversion the save cannot be opened in the old version.
Updating
- Stop your server.
- Back up your save files.
- Update via the panel or SteamCMD.
- Start the server. The first start after update may take longer.
Performance and RAM
Satisfactory uses more memory as your factory grows. A fresh start fits in 4GB, but large factories may need 6 to 8GB.
