ARK Survival Ascended (ASA) is the Unreal Engine 5 remake of ARK: Survival Evolved. With a dedicated server, you have full control over settings, mods, and who plays.
System Requirements
- RAM: Minimum 10 GB. With mods and large tribes 16+ GB.
- CPU: At least 4 cores. ASA is significantly heavier than the original ARK.
- Storage: 15-25 GB for the base installation.
Installation
At HostValues, you install ASA with one click through the game panel. The server uses SteamCMD (app ID 2430930). Default ports: 7777 (game) and 27015 (query).
Important Settings
Settings in GameUserSettings.ini:
- MaxPlayers: Maximum number of players
- XPMultiplier: XP multiplier (default 1.0)
- TamingSpeedMultiplier: Taming speed
- HarvestAmountMultiplier: Harvest rate
- DifficultyOffset: Difficulty and max dino level
Performance Tips
- NVMe storage is almost mandatory for ASA
- Restart the server daily to clear memory leaks
- Limit tame count with
MaxPersonalTamedDinos - Keep the number of mods low for better stability
