Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version will follow later. Here is what it means for FiveM server owners and the future of GTA roleplay.
Will FiveM Still Work?
Yes. FiveM is built on GTA V and will continue to function as long as GTA V exists. The CitizenFX team has confirmed that FiveM support will continue alongside any GTA 6 developments.
What is SixM?
SixM is the expected community multiplayer framework for GTA 6, similar to what FiveM is for GTA V. The CitizenFX team has confirmed they are building a GTA 6 client, expected after the PC release.
Timeline
- November 2026: GTA 6 console launch (no PC, no servers)
- 2027 (expected): GTA 6 PC release
- After PC launch: SixM/community framework development begins
- TBD: GTA Online for GTA 6
What Should Server Owners Do Now?
- Keep your FiveM server running. GTA V RP is not dying anytime soon
- Build your community now so you can migrate when GTA 6 server tools arrive
- Follow CitizenFX announcements for SixM updates
At HostValues, we will support GTA 6 server hosting as soon as community frameworks become available.
